Meet my family
My husband and I have been married for 38 years. We have lived in the Tampa Bay Area for 36 of those years. My husband has worked for the same company for 36 years and just recently retired. As I said on the "Home" page, I've had the daycare for 30 years. We have lived in the same house for 28 years. So as you can see I'm very consistent, if nothing else.
We have 2 daughters, Stephanie, 31 yrs old and Sarah, 30 years old. I started the daycare when Sarah was nine months. My main reason for starting an in-home daycare was I felt it was necessary for my girls to have playmates, but I didn't want them in a large group, as in a daycare center. So, my daycare years began. At first, the daycare groups I cared for were the same age as my own children. Now with both of our daughters grown, Stephanie is my legal substitute. She has taken all the required classes and keeps up to date on her CPR and First Aid. Both of our daughters have grown up to be responsible adults and are someone your children can look up to. And in these days, that's saying something. Now with both of our daughters moved out and on their own my decision for continuing with the daycare has stayed the same. I love what I do. I love making a difference in children's lives. This is the only career that I have had that is truly rewarding and never boring. I realize how hard it is to find a place for your children to be while you're at work. A place that will treat your child like family and help them learn. I may be a daycare provider, but I am ALWAYS a mom first. These children become part of my family and I just love watching them grow up to be confident and watching them blossom. I have stayed in touch with most of my families over the years, which warms my heart. I don't take for granted the trust that you put in me when leaving your children here. We are a team that works together for the betterment of your child.
